**Pay**:£23k - £28k based on Full time 37.5 hours or pro rata if part time
**Contract**: Permanent
**Hours**: Option for part time or fulltime working hours
**Location**: Nishkam Civic Association (office based in Nishkam Centre B21 9BH). Travel will be essential

**JOB PURPOSE**:
The primary purpose of this role is to deliver Functional Skills Maths and English level 1 and 2 individuals or groups of learners progressing through Apprenticeships.

**Overall Responsibilities**:

- Deliver FS Maths and English level 1 and 2 to individuals or groups of learners.
- Identify any barriers to learning through initial assessment diagnostics and plan effective training based on individual learner needs.
- Provide regular feedback to learners and employers against the progress made from the starting point.
- Ensure each learner's progression is recorded accurately and efficiently against the awarding body and ESFA / Ofsted requirements.
- Ensure that each learner receives a detailed FS Scheme of Work (SoW) and delivery plan, which will be recorded on each learners Individual Learning Plan (ILP).
- Prepare learners for End Point Assessment (EPA) when Standards are introduced.
- To develop online blended learning materials.
- To provide up-to-date working knowledge of FS Maths and English.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Organise, provide, monitor, and assess training and support for learners on their programmes**

1. Ensure that assessment of learner’s starting points is used in planning and sequencing their learning regarding English, Maths, and ICT.

2. Design and agree training / delivery plans in your area, providing support to learners to meet the content of the EPA. Ensure the learner programme is flexible to meet formative and summative assessment in order to respond to individual needs.

3. Provide information, advice and guidance to learners and employers throughout their programme, ensuring that all learners are aware of Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) and Wellbeing available to them to support their progress.

4. Plan and deliver training sessions on employer and NCA premises as required to develop the learner’s knowledge, skills, and behaviours. For apprenticeships, support, advise and guide learners through their EPA in a timely manner.

5. Provide instruction, training and assessment ensuring training meets standards set by the
NCA and Awarding Organisations (AO), including complying with the relevant AO and NCA quality assurance processes and requirements in all assessment practice, and presenting learners work for quality assurance purposes when required.

6. Organise and plan assessment opportunities and regular review meetings with learners and employers to set and review targets and progress and ensure constructive feedback that is developmental is documented and provided to support learners’ progress.

7. Support learners in building and completing FS portfolio.

8. Manage timescales and be clear in setting and agreeing objectives and deadlines, monitoring learning outcomes and achievement.

9. Collect, record and action feedback from learners and employers through surveys or reviews.

10. Ensure that all learners have access to pastoral support including ensuring a good understanding of Safeguarding, Prevent, Radicalisation, Equality, Diversity, Fundamental British values and NCA values.

**Health and Safety requirements**
- Comply with the Health and Safety rules within the NCA premises and be aware of good practice in the working environment.
- Ensure that learners are aware of their obligations to Health and Safety including safe working practice, accident reporting etc.

**Professional Development**
- Maintain currency of practice and update your own knowledge and skills (CPD) in line with AO and NCA requirements.
- Undertake mandatory training and appropriate training identified as relevant to the position.

**Client Relationship Management**
- Establish effective lines of communication with all stakeholders, regularly communicate with employers to maintain good relationships.
- Act as a liaison between employers and the NCA ensuring that all business leads are referred to the appropriate NCA Business Development department.
- Understand the role of End Point Assessment Organisations (EPAO) and build professional relationships with these (where relevant).
