**Job Title**:Data and Funding Officer

**Key Purpose**:
To work as part of the Data and Funding Team with the purpose of ensuring, the College’s student records, registers and timetabling data is complete and accurate and that funding audit requirements are met. That the data contained in ILR funding returns is complete, timely and accurate. To ensure the team contributes to ensuring MIS quality assurance processes and procedures are communicated and adhered to by college colleagues, supporting staff where necessary.

The post holder will be expected to assist in all areas of MIS and Apprenticeship Programmes in order to gain and maintain knowledge and insight on processes and procedures throughout the learner journey and will contribute to continuous personal and departmental development.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:
Implement and maintain processes and procedures to ensure the completeness and accuracy of learner record data and ensure the data is held in compliance with ILR and audit requirements.

Take a proactive approach in assisting the Data & Funding and the Apprenticeship team in managing the learner records data so that accurate and timely funding returns are produced ensuring the College maximises it’s funding and for accurate and complete statistical performance reporting purposes. This will include but not be limited to:
a) Entering data uploads to the hub

b) Uploading learner information

c) Electronic and manual filing of data and information

d) Auditing and quality assurance checks of data and paperwork

e) Assisting in the ILR production

f) Assisting in the generating reports for management

g) Chasing learner compliance issues

h) Resolving errors using appropriate quality assurance reports such as those from PDSATs and FRM reports

Assist in the set up and completion of timetables and rooming requirements ensuring through MIS that curriculum managers timetable requirements are met in a timely way.

Using appropriate software, identify and clear student record data errors.

To complete internal audits and compliance checks of data and paperwork to ensure that errors and training needs for staff are identified.

To assist in enrollment and the manual filing of data and information

To take responsibility in a proactive manner for their own workload based on MIS priorities to move departmental services forward towards excellence.

Train others as required by the departmental managers.

To provide cover for colleagues within the department as and when required.

Staff will be required to work/travel to any of the colleges or designated places as directed by the management team.

To undertake any other duties as may be required by the business needs which are commensurate with the scale of the post.

Evening & Saturday work may be required to suit business needs.
