**About This Position**:
Bury College is looking for a qualified Lecturer to deliver excellent and inclusive teaching and learning in the classroom so that learners are inspired to succeed and progress within their study. We are looking for professionals with a passion and natural ability that will guide, motivate and ultimately help students progress to the best of their ability.

Joining us as a Lecturer in Carpentry & Joinery, the successful person would ideally be an enthusiastic expert in their area with the ability to integrate appropriate and inspirational curriculum resources; including ILT into lessons and plan delivery so that schemes of work and lesson plans support achievement. Undertaking ongoing high quality formative and summative assessment of learners’ work, both in class and through regular out of class activity to monitor progress, you would aim to ensure that learners succeed through progress reviews and initiate and respond to new curriculum developments and plan resources as appropriate.

**Required Experience**
- Experience of successful teaching (or teaching practice for NQT’s) on Carpentry & Joinery or related courses is essential.
- Practical Industry experience in Carpentry & Joinery.
- Proven experience of delivering inclusive and challenging teaching strategies.
- Experience of integrating ILT into lessons to assist learner achievement
- Experience of producing effective schemes of work and lesson plans.
- Integrating high quality formative assessments into classroom delivery.

**Qualifications**
- Must hold a Level 3 Trade qualification
- Hold a full teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards).
- A good standard of education including Maths and English Grade A* - C (or equivalent)
- Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy - Essential
- If teaching NVQ qualifications, A1 award or a willingness to work towards
- If leading the internal verification process, TAQA or a willingness to work towards
