Senior Buyer

Brand new opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to join a leading organisation as a Senior Buyer - Indirects. This role will be responsible for centralising Indirect spend for the business - analysing the current data and negotiating contracts with suppliers.

**Key Responsibilities of the Senior Buyer - Indirects;**
- Manage all company indirect spend including parts, services, energy, tooling & facilities.
- Target cost saving & consolidation opportunities in the indirect categories whilst maintaining quality and service.
- Analyse the current Indirect spend and look for opportunities to save costs in line with the business KPI’s.
- Drive and develop a reliable and robust supply chain for alternatively sourced parts and services.
- Develop and implement contracts and long-term agreements.
- Manage bids and tenders for all contracting work.
- Develop and introduce KPI's throughout the indirect categories.
- Management of contracts ensuring supplier KPI's are maintained.

**Personal Specification of the Senior Buyer - Indirects;**
- Degree and / or CIPS qualification would be preferred.
- Proven Procurement & Category Management experience.
- Broad Indirect Category Procurement experience.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritise workload.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic.

This role would also suit you if you have held a role within purchasing or procurement as a Senior Buyer, Purchasing Controller, Commodity Manager, Sourcing Manager, Category Manager, Supplier Manager.

**Salary**: £50,000.00-£58,000.00 per year
