**Internal Sales Co-ordinator - Timber Systems Division**, **Forres**

**The Company**

James Jones & Sons Ltd is one of the UK's largest and most progressive timbercompanies with core activities in sawmilling, I-Joist and pallet manufacture. We operate seven sawmills; an engineered wood manufacturing plant in the north of Scotland and have pallet and packaging operations at seventeen sites across the UK. We produce high quality, British grown sawn timber for the construction, pallet, packaging, fencing and agricultural sectors and pallets and packaging for blue chip domestic and exporting businesses.In addition, we are the market leaders in the supply of JJI-Joists to many of the UK’s top house builders.

We require an Internal Sales Co-ordinator to work as part of an established team based at our Timber Systems Division in Forres.

**The Role**

Sales Coordination is a key part of what we do, providing the crucial ‘bridge' between our customers and our internal purchasing, logistics and the sales team on the road. This multi-faceted role will see you handling inbound customer enquiries and processing sales orders. In addition, you will assist your external sales colleagues and generate some outbound activity to identify new opportunities. This position is wholly office based, providing excellent customer service and engagement. You will be focussed on understanding customer needs, to ensure opportunities are realised and first-class service is always provided.

**Key tasks and responsibilities**
- Dealing with incoming customer queries and providing advice and solutions
- Undertaking outbound activity to help identify and target new customers
- Working closely with and supporting the external sales team
- Administration of sales orders/quotations, ensuring customer delivery dates are met
- Coordinating events that promote James Jones, the site and its products
- Closely liaising with internal departments

**Key skills**
- An effective communicator, you should have an excellent telephone manner and be comfortable in using the telephone as a main communication tool
- Be able to establish a rapport with colleagues and customers alike
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Being proactive in approach and be comfortable making outbound calls
- Be numerate and computer literate, desirable to be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Organised and structured
- The ability to work as part of a small and established team is essential
- Being commercially aware and target driven would be advantageous
