We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Housekeeper to work in our care home in Glasgow. Our care home, Springboig Care Centre is a professionally and thoughtfully purpose built 70 bedded home providing living accommodation for the elderly. Our residents are predominantly frail elderly living with dementia and adults with life limiting conditions, mental health conditions or physical/learning disabilities.

As Head Housekeeper, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the Housekeeping services. Your key responsibilities will centre on management of domestic and laundry staff, management of cleanliness and hygiene, prepare, manage and participate in the cleaning rota and to manage the housekeeping budget.

You must be able to work alone and also as a team and must have a commitment, be competent and self-motivate with good staff management and people skills. With strong organisational and leadership skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels.

Our residents are in need of support to maintain the quality of life and independence in a safe and secure environment and may have a range of other conditions that will require additional support needs and this role will be to ensure provision is in place and appropriate for the needs of the residents.

**Role and Responsibilities**
- Manage cleanliness and hygiene.
- Prepare, manage and participate in the cleaning rota.
- Manage housekeeping budget.
- Manage team of Domestic and Laundry staff.

**Required**:

- Must have previous supervisory experience with ability to manage a Team
- Housekeeping background
- Budget Experience
- Stock Control Management
- Rota Management
- Good communication skills
- spoken and written English essential
- Team player
- Satisfactory PVG Record Check

**Desired**:

- Care for the Elderly experience
- Highly organised
- Knowledge /experience of health and safety legislation
