Traffic Planner

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Night Planner to join our team at Ken Mallinson & Sons Ltd (KMS) working Sunday to Thursday 8pm - 6am. As a Planner, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and organising transportation routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and optimizing efficiency in our logistics operations.

**Duties**:

- Plan and schedule transportation routes for HGVs including flatbed and curtainsider trucks.
- Coordinate with delivery drivers to ensure on-time deliveries and efficient route planning.
- Utilize industry knowledge to optimize delivery schedules and minimize transportation costs.
- Monitor and track delivery progress, addressing any delays or issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Administer customer paperwork to ensure completed status.

**Requirements**:

- Proficiency in route planning software and tools to optimize transportation logistics.
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with delivery drivers and internal teams.
- Predominantly this position will be working alone.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary.
