**Job Title: Teaching Assistant - SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) - Bamber Bridge Area, Preston**

**Overview**:
We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Teaching Assistant to join our team and provide essential support to children facing Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. This rewarding role is based in the Bamber Bridge area of Preston and offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Individualized Support**: Provide one-on-one support to students with SEMH difficulties, implementing strategies outlined in individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet their unique needs.
- **Classroom Assistance**: Collaborate with teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Assist in the delivery of lessons and activities that promote emotional well-being and social development.
- **Behavioural Support**: Utilize effective behaviour management techniques to de-escalate challenging situations and maintain a safe and supportive classroom atmosphere.
- **Communication**: Foster open and constructive communication with students, parents, and the wider school community. Provide regular feedback on student progress and well-being.
- **Resource Management**: Assist in the preparation and organization of educational materials and resources, ensuring a conducive learning environment for all students.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- **Experience**: Previous experience working with children facing SEMH challenges is advantageous.
- **Qualifications**: A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or willingness to undergo relevant training.
- **Empathy**: A compassionate and understanding approach to supporting children with SEMH difficulties.
- **Team Player**: Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and external agencies.
