Quality Engineer

**Quality Engineer**

Syntech Recruitment are searching for a Quality Engineer for our client based out of Galway, Ireland. Providing support to the Senior Quality Engineer and Quality Manager, this role will be providing inspection and root cause support for manufactured productsand components.
**Quality Engineer Duties**
- Provide inspection and root cause analysis support for components and products
- Use handheld and visual inspection of components when required
- Attend 8D meetings to identify root cause analysis
- Support creation of Process Flows Diagrams
- Support internal audit procedures, planning and execution
- Support the maintaining of the IATF 16949 quality system
- Use company ERP and other software systems to retrieve quality requirements and perform tasks related to moving product in system
- Understand the PPAP process
- Participate in DFMEA and PFMEA when required
- Train Operators on inspection plans and using inspection tools

**Quality Engineer Experience**
- 2+ years of quality experience is required as a minimum
- Knowledge of ISO9001 and (Ideally) IATF 16949
- Proven ability to read technical engineering drawings
- Confident in visual and hand held inspection tools
- GD&T knowledge is required
- Knowledge of 5 Whys, 5S, LEAN manufacturing
- Green Belt Certification is beneficial but not essential
