**The job itself**:
The governors are looking for person to join our hard-working team of staff. We are keen to appoint a person who will be able to quickly establish and maintain good working relationships with pupils, staff and parents and work closely with other members of the school team.

**The post holder will**:

- Be responsible as a team member for the safety, welfare and good conduct of the pupils during the midday break, under the direction of the school business manager or headteacher
- Support safe play and organisation of pupils
- Supervise and support children during lunchtimes in the dining hall, on the playground and on the school premises in general
- Assist in ensuring that spillages and tables are cleaned up
- Assist in ensuring that dinner registers tally and are available in the event of an emergency situation
- Provide first aid
- Undertake any necessary training, such as safeguarding, first aid, data protection etc.
- Be an understanding and caring member of the school team
