We are looking for a **Tech Lead** to be accountable for designing at component and code level high quality scalable solutions and leading a squad of senior and junior software engineers to build, test and deploy those solutions in to live.

You will be accountable for **thought leadership **within your squad, leading by example on code quality, deployment and assurance frameworks in a cloud hosted micro service architecture.

**Your Responsibilities**
- Leading squad ways of working to ensure engineering policies and selected tools are adhered to
- Making sure agreed test coverage is implemented and daily progress communicated
- Responsible for the code repositories and Version Control is maintained
- Mentoring and supporting senior and junior developers within their team
- Leading a squad of software engineers to increase deployment frequency by building non-breaking change
- Co-ordination of release management and component version dependencies within your squad

**Your Experience**

Does this sound like you?
- In depth knowledge and experience of AWS services/frameworks like EC2, ECS, Lambda, Fargate etc
- In depth commercial experience of using feature toggles and end point version control to deploy non breaking backwards compatible software change
- Commercial experience of working in a Continuous Delivery SDLC
- Commercial experience of working with an agile framework (Scrum/Kanban)
- Thought leader on DevOps principles and CI/CD deployment automation practices and infrastructure as code (Cloudformation or CDK)
- RDBMS experience
- In depth Commercial Experience of developing distributed systems using a messaging-based architecture (ideally RabbitMQ or SQS)
- A technical leader capable of inspiring confidence in Senior developers and inspiring them on quality and deployment automation.
