**What you’ll do**

1. Develop and implement a training and development plan aligned with our strategic intents.

2. Identify training needs by conducting regular assessments and collaborating with department heads and managers.

3. Design and deliver training programmes and workshops to enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of our people.

4. Deliver an industry-leading induction programme

5. Lead a team of trainers and training coordinators, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.

6. Create and maintain engaging training materials and resources to support effective learning and development.

7. Collaborate with external training providers to source relevant courses and certifications for our people.

8. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes through feedback, assessments, and performance reviews.

9. Be our authority on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in training and development.

10. Provide guidance and support to managers in implementing on-the-job training initiatives.

11. Develop and manage the training budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

12. Stay informed about legislative requirements, ensuring our training complies with legal and regulatory standards.

13. Work alongside our HRAdvice Partner to provide the relevant training for all levels of management when dealing with grievance and disciplinary procedures.

14. Cultivate a culture that enables regular feedback for all team members on their performance, positively reinforcing our values.

**What you’ll need**

1. Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably at a senior level.

2. Strong knowledge of training and development principles, methodologies, and best practices.

3. Excellent instructional design and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire learners.

4. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.

5. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.

7. An analytical mindset, with the ability to assess training needs and evaluate programme effectiveness.

8. Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations related to training and development.

9. A degree in HumanResources, Training and Development, or a related field, although this isn’t essential

10. Professional certifications in training and development are advantageous.

11. A willingness to travel to our venues around the south and east of England.
