- Key Responsibilities:_
- Daily inspection and report of Cold room and Conditioning room, Warehouse and other temperature-controlled areas.
- Investigating material defects on line, supervision of product ‘on hold’ (finished product and packaging), reporting, escalation and review, escalation of out of specification product
- Glass breakage management and reporting / investigation.
- ‘Right First Time’ checks and line paperwork review, ensuing process is in control.
- Raising concessions and reporting.
- Daily Shift log to be updated with line info and holds.
- Management of samples in Keep room
- Conducting daily Taste panel and follow up actions as required.
- Conducting monthly CCP Audits and management of CCP/OPRP failures or deviations with production and undertake follow up actions as required to minimise impact.
- Daily Scales calibration, monthly Thermometer calibrations.
- Complaint investigations.
- Daily review of Weights report and follow up investigations as required.
- Inspect and sign off Engineering work to ensure food safety standards are met.
- Represent the Quality team at relevant site meetings.
- Complete Glass and Hard Plastic audits
- Conduct GMP and hygiene audits, ensuring effective closure of actions.
- Monitor the receipt of test samples into the laboratory, ensuring that all relevant details are recorded.
- Review all results against specifications before entering them into the laboratory result spread sheets.
- Review results reported from suppliers or external laboratories and enter data into the relevant spreadsheet.
- Out of specification or unusual results actioned according to documented procedures.
- Clear and prompt communication of all quality issues to the QA Team Leader / QA Manager.
- Maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards within the laboratory.
- Weekly stocktake of consumables.
- Provide Lab Technician cover when needed.
