Overview

Our Home from Hospital service aims to reduce admissions and recovery time following a hospital stay. We also work to make an overall positive impact on isolation and wellbeing by helping people reconnect with their communities and engage with activities.

We’re currently looking for a Service Co-ordinator to join us on a permanent, part-time basis, working 15 hours per week.

The Role

As a Service Co-ordinator, you will co-ordinate the day-to-day operation of our Home from Hospital service in Dundee.

You will recruit, train and support our volunteers, action referrals from local stakeholders and ensure the service is delivered in line with funding agreements and targets.

Ensuring the effective co-ordination of volunteers, you will promote our service, ensure its viability, and assist the Manager in ensuring its growth and uptake.

You will also ensure that all activities are delivered in line with service level agreements, working to make sure more people are enabled to volunteer and that strong partnerships are maintained with the NHS Board and Trust.

Working Hours

This is a permanent, part-time position, working 15 hours per week.

What you’ll need
- Experience of managing and motivating teams of staff and volunteers
- Knowledge and an understanding of the NHS, Health and Social Care Partnerships and Local Authority commissioning
- The ability to act on your own initiative within agreed parameters
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- A full, valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle
