**As a Fitter you will be keen to take on challenges, develop your technical skills potential as well as expand your knowledge and experience through a variety of exciting initiatives, learning & development opportunities and career progression.**

**Working in a high volume, fast paced environment, you will take the view that the technical services you provide are there to support the efficient management of your workspace and component completion. You will be responsible for your own productivity output, utilising various manufacturing processes and disciplines.**

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- De-burr, polish and clean finished components ready to be delivered to the customer, being confident in the use of hand vibration tools
- Slinging & moving metal components
- Presenting components (fully fitted) to the Inspection Department
- Pack finished components securely and safely ready to be shipped to the customer
- Load and un-load transport vehicles as and when required with use of the forklift
- Interpret engineering drawings from sketches, existing drawings, and electronic images identifying the most efficient, cost-effective solution without compromising quality or safety
- Independently plan and schedule workload according to weekly production schedule
- Action all tasks assigned to maintain high levels of target achievement as designated by Chargehand
- Take part and contribute in toolbox talks
- Ensure that 5S principles are adhered to
- Willingly accept and receive training

**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**:

- Previous experience working with metal components in a manufacturing/factory environment
- Slinging/Handling metal components between 500kg to 1 ton
- De-burring metal components

This position rotates between day and night shift every 2 weeks
