Come join us We are currently seeking to recruit an Electrical Operations Assistant for our Electrical Services division to be based at our Droitwich depot. Working in conjunction with the Operation Manager, the post-holder is responsible for assisting the Operations Manager in managing field staff as well as planning all works and the allocation of workforce to be most effective and support the running of the company.

The post-holder is required to effectively and strategically manage and support all field staff to ensure the successful completion of all aspects of operations.

The Electrical Operations Assistant will work alongside the Enquiries and Business Support Teams and other staff, to manage, plan and execute all works and allocation of workforce to be most effective and support the running of the company.

The post-holder is contracted to work 45 hours per week between Monday to Friday. Normal hours of work are 7.30am and a finish time of 5.30pm with an unpaid 1-hour meal break. However, due to the duties associated with this post and the nature of the industry and service of the business, the post-holder will be expected to dedicate any time required to ensure the success of the division.

**Your day will look like this**:

- Ensure all paperwork and documentation is ready for the following working day for all field staff.
- Ensure all company vehicles are clean, tidy and fully road legal. It is the post-holders responsibility to ensure any defects, minor or otherwise are reported appropriately.
- Make sure all correct equipment is on vehicles in order to carry out all duties effectively to completion.
- Undertake a meeting with engineers at the start and/or end of the day/week and prepare a summary for presentation to the Line Manager regarding all aspects of operations.
- Allocate jobs and select appropriately trained staff to complete works to a safe and required standard.
- Ensure effective communication with all field staff at all times: rearrange any work requirement should this be needed.
- Carry out any site visits necessary to ensure correct and full RAMS be completed.
- Keep both the client and Line Manager fully informed of operational change; the post-holder is expected to be able to provide a full operational brief, written or verbal to any senior member of staff with little or no prior notice.
- Review Method statements and Risk assessments as required.
- Undertaking regular toolbox talks and audits and inspections.
- Collate and check all paperwork and pass to the appropriate department for processing. This is to be done on a daily basis.
- This list is not exhaustive, and the post-holder will be expected to demonstrate initiative and ownership of other duties and tasks outside of this job description.

**How you can help us with your experience**:

- Possess and demonstrate experience and knowledge gained in an electrical contracting environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to tailor to liaise with colleagues, customers and members of the public.
- Demonstrate a full understanding of all associated works.
- Knowledge and ability to prepare RAMS, undertake full site audits and deliver recommendations from such audits.
- Clean UK driving licence.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Flexible approach to working hours.
- Ownership and accountability for area of responsibility.
- IOSH would be desirable but not essential.
