We are seeking to appoint a School Cleaner for 15 hours per week to join our friendly team from September. The hours are Monday to Friday from 3.30pm to 6.30pm.

Duties will include:

- Cleaning of classrooms, unit areas, staff room, offices, toilets, hall and corridors.
- Vacuuming carpeted and uncarpeted areas and washing floors
- Emptying and cleaning bins
- Spot cleaning of spillages
- Cleaning desks, seats and skirting boards
- Cleaning toilet areas and replenishing toiletries
- Cleaning doors and windows
- Wiping furniture, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors and polishing door glass
- Wiping and polishing and straightening furniture
- Checking and closing windows, switching off lights after work
- Checking stock levels of cleaning materials
- Reporting all defects/hazards immediately to the caretaker or supervisor
- Such other duties as may be allocated from time to time.

The postholder will be expected to work with limited supervision carrying out tasks set out in the cleaning schedule and working in line with Health & Safety guidelines.

The pro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and paid annual leave entitlement for an employee under 5 years’ service.

Keeping Children Safe in Education

The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.
