Venari Finance are working with a large UK wide company who are looking to add a Finance Assistant to their team in Glasgow on a permanent basis.

Working within the Operational Finance team you will report into the Accounting and Central Reporting Lead and be responsible for owning the Sales Ledger and Credit Control function for key client contracts. The key purpose is to provide an accurate, timely and well-organized Sales Ledger that feeds into the wider finance function, ensuring the continuity of our cashflow, banking and reporting.

**Principal Tasks & Responsibilities**
- Ownership of Sales Ledger process, including regular billing & invoice financing
- Weekly Aged Debtors reporting that feeds into cashflow process
- Aged Debt management including Credit Control & query resolution
- Ownership of Expenses process, including liaison with Payroll
- Bank postings and reconciliations management
- Ensuring all month-end tasks are completed to agreed schedule and relevant deadlines are met
- Building an understanding of the key contracts to support role effectiveness
- Maintaining control over balance sheet accounts
- Assistance with ad-hoc/project work as required by the team

**Experience, Skills & Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a finance environment required
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with great attention to detail
- Good IT skills
- Experience in a high-volume transaction environment
- Ability to work in an evolving environment while managing multiple deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proactive approach to process improvement within team including future opportunities from Microsoft 365

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
