Join Our Team as a Welder/Fitter/Process Operator
Are you ready to be a pivotal part of our growing business?
We're seeking a dynamic, keen individual to join our team and provide essential support to our production processes. As a Process Operator, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our foundry processes, TIG welding tasks, basic machining operations, bench fitting, and packing and shipping.
**Role Overview**:
In this role, you'll work in various manufacturing processes, meticulously package parts for shipment, and tackle general factory duties to keep our operations running seamlessly. Your day-to-day tasks will encompass a wide array of responsibilities, including:
- Grit blasting: to prepare metal parts for a dip tinning process
- Glass bead blasting: to clean metal parts after foundry processes
- Foundry processes: tinning and spin casting using molten metal to cast our products - you will need to be physcally fit for this process.
- TIG Welding: to deposit low temperature alloys in layers and to tack weld parts during production.
- Soldering using oxy-acetylene torch
- Metal Finishing to file, debur, clean, and polish metal parts to meet quality standards. Good dexterity is essential
- Loading parts and running EDM wire machine
- Performing basic turning operations on lathe
- Clean and pack parts for shipping
- Create delivery notes using our ERP system
- Etching part numbers using laser marking machine
- Accept deliveries and booking into our ERP system
- General factory duties and housekeeping.
**About you**:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
- Proficiency in operating machinery and tools relevant to the listed processes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £9.73-£13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
**Experience**:
- Manufacturing: 1 year (preferred)
Ability to Commute:
- Newcastle upon Tyne (required)
Ability to Relocate:
- Newcastle upon Tyne: Relocate before starting work (required)
