Reporting & Audit Specialist required by one of the Lloyd's insurance Market's largest syndicate business.

The purpose of this role is to strengthen and further develop integration of various internal and external reporting timelines into a streamlined and holistic view, which enables Finance to manage conflicting reporting priorities more effectively.

This position will collaborate with all Finance functions, as well as other areas in the business, and support the BAU reporting teams in managing processes and timetables for key reporting cycles. This role will additionally serve as a primary liaison forthe various external audits, facilitating efficient coordination of external audits which will improve timely response and execution to address audit findings.

Reporting Coordination
- Assist BAU teams in managing the end to end key reporting cycles across Finance, ensuring that all key external and internal reporting deliverables are identified and communicated to relevant Functions and wider Finance teams as appropriate;
- Further enhance the established group external reporting timetable tools and functions to encompass other finance reporting teams and statutory reporting deliverables into a single holistic system and view;
- Support Finance team managers in embedding the preparation and co-ordination of the quarterly, half year and year end timetables and instructions to other Functions into their own BAU;
External Audit Liaise
- Coordinate and project manage the External Audit process, agreeing timetables and facilitating execution of the audit across Finance and other areas of the business;
- Serve as the main point of contact and manage deliverables for external audits across several entities;
- Co-ordinate, monitor and report the progress of external audit, emerging findings and potential overruns, with escalations to the Head of Group & Statutory Reporting, and Head of Reporting and Corporate Finance;
- In order to be successful in this role you will ideally be a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) project management qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2) would be advantageous.
