**Head of Distance and Online Learning**

**Salary**: £40,837 - £43,321

**Hours**:37 hours

**Location**: Working across the Group - Wakefield, Castleford, Selby

We are looking for a Head of Distance and Online Learning to join our team, where you will drive forward our strategy to grow our provision and improve our students’ experience.

We are looking for a highly motivated and effective individual to work with other managers and staff across the group and positively lead a culture of high performance and high engagement. In addition, you should be an excellent team player and have a passion for supporting students to succeed.

As Head of Distance and Online Learning, you will:

- Work with external organisations and the marketing department to secure new learner starts for our provision - approximately 1,500 learners per academic year
- Ensure high performance in terms of learner retention, achievement and progression
- Manage and lead a team of highly effective tutors to deliver the provision
- Lead on quality assurance and improvement for the provision

As Head of Distance and Online Learning, you will have:

- 'A PGCE or relevant Teaching or Assessing Qualification'
- Recognised Level 3 Management Qualification
- Knowledge and understanding of the curriculum areas within the job role - in particular Health & Social Care, Early Years and Business
- An understanding of the FE sector and the administrative demands required to ensure the maximisation of student success
