An opportunity has arisen for an individual to undertake the role of Telephone Interviewer based within Corporate Services at Sutton Road Maidstone, moving to Maidstone Police station in the near future.

You should have at least one year’s experience working with the public over the telephone in a customer service environment, or a role which requires you to use the telephone on a day-to-day basis. Some face-to-face interviewing would be beneficial, but this is not essential.

Experience in Microsoft Office would be beneficial, especially basic Excel. All training will be given, which includes the use of police systems.

**Essential**:
Educated to GCSE with a pass in English and Math’s grade c or above, or equivalent.
Ability to work under pressure.
A minimum of 1 year’s customer service experience on the telephone.
Excellent communication skills over the phone.
Work well within a team as well as an individual.
Show empathy and compassion.

**Desirable**:
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Ability to type and speak at the same time.
