**Sales Associate Job Description**

Looking for a full-time sales associate for our furniture superstore that has been in business for over 30 years. Our product range including Harrison Spinks and Somnus beds are among the best-selling in the country. Our Sales Associate will work a flexible schedule of at least 40 hours per week including rotating some weekends. She or he can earn incremental sales commission pay tied to our business revenue growth.

**Responsibilities and requirements**
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
- Assess customer’s needs and provide assistance and information on product features
- Welcome customers to the store and answer their queries
- Follow and achieve department’s sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
- “Go the extra mile” to drive sales
- Maintain in-stock and presentable condition assigned areas
- Actively seek out customers in store
- Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
- Handle returns of merchandise
- Comply with inventory control procedures
- Suggest ways to improve sales (e.g. planning marketing activities, changing the store’s design)
- Support colleagues and contribute to a positive and enjoyable work environment.

**Qualifications**
- Proficiency in English
- Basic math skills
- Track record of over-achieving sales quota
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus

**Details**

- 40 hours per week
- Pay: From £ 10.00 per hour + commission on sales
