Were a small fast growing business that is looking for a bright and up and coming baking assistant to work within our amazing team. We sell everything from coffees, flapjacks, smoothies and you guessed it... Bagels

The Baking area is the heart of the company and we have recently moved to a wonderful location in Canton near Victoria Park which has allowed us to expand our product line and improved our quality at the same time. We hand bake our bagels each and everyday. As of today we bake around 600-800 bagels per day and provide all of our stores with enough bagels for the entire day.

At The Bagel Place we aim to create the best working environment as possible, which means that your opinion matters and we strive to give you all the tools you need to become the best version of you.

We will provide you with extensive training, we dont expect you to have baked bagels professionally before as the vast majority of people wouldn't have. You will be trained by our Head Baker and you'll build up a clear picture of the business and what makes us so different.

**Who we are looking for**

**Responsibilities**:

- To follow our recipes and given baking procedures.
- To create our bagels to a high standard
- Follow safety procedures when using ovens and other cooking equipment.
- To be able to identify errors and help fix them.
- To deliver the right amount of bagels to all of our shops
- Communicate with customers effectively as people often come to the bakers for extra information about our bagels

What were looking for:
To be considered for the role of assistant baker it is preferred to have the following.
- Relevant work experience in food preparation and or baking.
- Experience with customer service.
- The ability to be able to do repetitive tasks.
- The ability to have strict time management skills.
- Someone who has the drive to give our customers the best experience possible.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16-21 per week
