**Teacher’s Professional Scale + TLR 1B (£10,714)**

An exciting opportunity to lead a team to teach a small cohort of _Autism Spectrum Condition_ (ASC) students in our newly built _Designated Special Provision_ (DSP), scheduled to open **January 2024**.

Therefore, we require a suitably qualified and experienced individual from **September 2023** to lead and develop our provision, initially to oversee parts of the provision set-up, pupil consultation and transition process.

As a new purpose-built DSP, situated within the heart of the main school we offer this fantastic opportunity for the right person to use their knowledge and skills to change lives, enthuse and inspire.

**_ What You'll Be Doing: _**

You’ll be making a difference As an awesome Teacher and leader, you’ll help to nurture and teach a small group of pupils who have a diagnosis of Autism or will be on an ASC pathway. You will change their lives.

You’ll be developing your career Whether you are from a Mainstream setting looking to make the leap into the _Realstream_ or an experienced SEND practitioner with a strong track record, our extensive CPD programme and supportive leadership team will take you to the next level and help you develop your career into what you want it to be. - You will demonstrate the ability to manage a small group of children with complex social communication needs.
- Possess the ability to promote positive behaviour in a nurturing environment
- Have a passion for supporting SEND pupils towards their exit point
- Be thorough when assessing & evaluating SEND referrals
- To have current DSL experience, or be willing to become a DSL
- Establish brilliant relationships with pupils, staff, parents, carers and other professionals
- Make excellent judgements and decisions
- Have a sound knowledge of legislation affecting SEND, including the SEND Code of Practice
- Like animals and realise the potential benefits and impact on students of working with a school dog.
- Flexibility to carry out any such other duties as may be reasonably required and directed by the Head Teacher
