Are you an experienced Buyer? Do you want to be a key player in a successful manufacturing business? The role reports into the Managing Director.
This is predominately a systems-based role which has a significant element of people management and production scheduling.
The main duties will be:

- Generate Purchase Orders:

- Maintain lead-times and minimum order stock levels
- Manage Goods-in
- Production planning
- Maintain records of raw materials, components and labels
- Support marketing: pre-plan promotional activity
- Chair daily/weekly production meeting with production supervisors monitoring progress and agree local amendments in weekly schedule accordingly
- Deal with customer specific queries: complaints or otherwise assigning new product code and entering system formulations and bill of materials
- Support new business tendering through formulation development and materials costing
- Produce and maintain product registration and compliance to standards
- Liaise with customer services with respect to production lead times of finished and factored goods
- Support production with respect to machine maintenance and process improvement
- At least 5years experience in a buying, expediting or production role
- Be able to work and develop production control system
- Ability to network and form contacts across our customers (internal and external) and suppliers
- Be competent in data manipulation and reporting
- Ability to obtain analyse and present information
- Must be able to work unsupervised and be able to work as a member of a team
- Good level of personal presentation
- Excellent computer skills use of all packages
