**About the company**:
Our client is an international company with offices in the UK, Portugal, and US. They work with organisations to create digital and technology platforms to drive transformation, develop capabilities and deliver digital and transactional experiences thatbuild business around the world.

They are looking for a talented Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to work with them on a diverse range of projects for several international clients. They have a range of high profile clients, many of whom have global footprints whose infrastructure they needto be designed, deployed and maintained in Azure. They are also an AWS partner and are committed to an ongoing relationship based on best practice and successful innovation.

You will be working within Azure with SaaS, PaaS and IaaS (Windows & Linux) solutions and will be based in their beautiful rural offices nearby Bath, with an option for some days of remote work.

**The Role**:
Knowledge of implementing cloud security and compliance is key due to the sensitive nature of many client systems and associated data. Process automation is also highly desirable, as the team is working on improving automation throughout the DevOps lifecycle.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provision and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements for both Linux and Windows in a cloud context.
- Designing secure, resilient and compliant architectures based on client requirements.
- Configuring automated code and infrastructure deployment processes.
- Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures for both Linux and Windows in a cloud context.
- Implement monitoring solutions with alerting and anomaly detection.
- Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
- Automate OS patches and upgrade, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
- Configure / add new services as necessary.
- Continually research new services and evaluate current design patterns for improvements.
- Provision and maintain security groups and databases across multiple accounts as well as advising key stakeholders on best fit requirements for given scenarios. This covers servers, databases, load balancers and all related peripherals.
- Team management, maintain boards and track team tasks.
- Provide project support and oversight.

**What you will need**:

- Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience - _Engineering; Computer Science or similar. _
- Proven experience designing, provisioning & maintaining secure and compliant systems in Azure
- Azure certification(s), such as:

- AZ-305: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

?
- AZ-400: Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert

?
- AZ-500: Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
- Self-Management
- Task Assessment
- Problem-solving mindset
- A desire to blend management responsibilities with hands-on DevOps work

**Nice to Have**:

- Team lead experience
- System Administrator or System Engineer Certification - _Linux or Microsoft_
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or similar
