**You will be an experienced teacher with a passion for supporting Learners with special educational needs. Working closely with Curriculum/Programme Leads and other senior colleagues, you'll use your leadership skills to manage provision across a rangeof programmes and to provide support to other tutors/trainers.
Your responsibilities will include designing and delivering interventions with Learners in the classroom and implementing the SEN strategy. You may also have classroom teaching duties and could be working in one Centre and supporting across multiple Centres.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and oversee the implementation of a SEN strategy and policy.
- Carry out assessments of Learners with SEN to identify needs and monitor progress - including observations in the classroom and meeting with tutors and parents/carers.
- Assess prospective Learners with EHCPs and their needs to make recommendations on suitability of provision for individual Learners.
- Liaise with Local Authorities to gain access to existing EHCP plans for new Learners.
- Work with tutors, the Centre Principals, parents and relevant external agencies to develop, implement and monitor individual support/learning plans in-line with Education and Health Plans.
- Provide regular updates on pupil progress through written reports and meetings with parents.
- Co-ordinate and participate in EHCP review meetings.
- Provide advice, guidance and training to tutors on supporting Learners with SEN
- Support tutors to differentiate learning and activities for Learners with SEN

**Applicant Requirement**
You will be a qualified teacher with QTS gained in England or Wales.
You will hold the National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination (NASENCO).
