You will be a key worker for an allocated group of children, working in partnership with parents and other professionals to provide their children with the best outcome in life.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
- I. **Supervision and Care**:
Ø Provide attentive and nurturing care for children in a safe and secure environment.

Ø Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities, ensuring their well-being and development.

II. **Communication with Parents**:
Ø Maintain open and effective communication with parents regarding their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns.

Ø Share information about the child's achievements, challenges, and notable events.

III. **Educational Support**:
Ø Assist in planning and implementing educational activities that promote the intellectual and social development of children.

Ø Support learning through play, guided activities, and interactive experiences.

IV. **Health and Safety**:
Ø Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, including childproofing the environment and addressing any potential hazards promptly.

Ø Be familiar with basic first aid procedures and respond appropriately to any emergencies.

V. **Routine and Structure**:
Ø Establish and maintain a daily routine that includes meals, naps, playtime, and educational activities.

Ø Foster a sense of structure and consistency to provide a reassuring environment for the children.

**VI. Documentation and Record-Keeping**:
Ø Keep accurate records of each child's daily activities, meals, and any significant incidents.

Ø Provide feedback on a child's development, milestones, and challenges to parents and/or lead childminder.

**Skills, experience, and qualifications required for the childminder assistant position.**
- **Skills**

Ø Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children and parents.

Ø Proficient in creating a safe and stimulating environment for children.

Ø Strong communication abilities to convey information clearly and within the boundaries of confidentiality.

Ø Ability to assist in planning and implementing learning activities for various age groups.
- **Experience**:
Ø Hands-on experience in supporting the lead childminder in daily childcare tasks.

Ø Demonstrated ability to maintain a nurturing and positive atmosphere for children.

Ø Previous involvement in organising and participating in age-appropriate recreational activities.

Ø Competent understanding of the EYFS

Ø Experience in looking after children age 6months - 5 years
- **Qualifications**:
Ø Relevant childcare certification such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or NCFE CACHE Level1 Award in Caring for Children or equivalent.

Ø Familiarity with basic first aid and emergency procedures.

Ø Knowledge of child development stages and age-appropriate activities.

Ø Understanding and adherence to child safety protocols and regulations
