**The Role**:
We have a fantastic opportunity for an Authorised Person to join our team working on our successful contract with Northern PowerGrid. The aim of this position is to fulfil an Authorised Person role within a Distribution Network Operator contract in both an overhead line and underground cable environment, undertaking and managing electrical planning & switching. We have openings in Yorkshire and Durham.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide an effective & efficient project management interface.
- Outage management, switching, earthing on LV networks.
- Support HV outages by isolating individual substations.
- Action any issues that arise from customer complaints immediately by liaising with relevant department, ensure customer is kept informed of progress.
- Liaise with client. To include but not limited to, discussing individual outages, reporting damage to network and safety related incidents. Attending clients training school for code refreshers.

- Comply with health and safety legislation - Ensure duty of care is shown and take appropriate action to always comply with health and safety requirements.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties, commensurate with the level of the post.

**Skills & Experience**:

- LE1 Linesman
- HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
- Full UK driving licence.
- Possess a proven track record operating as an AP in a hands-on capacity from within a recognised utility or LV power contractor, or a client-side DON/IDNO
- Possess a thorough understanding or working under a DNO’s control and experience of switching systems, procedures and processes.
- Minimum 1 year experience of overhead and underground planning and switching operations.
- Hold current authorisations within any of the UK’s DNO’s or have held the last 12 months.
- Previous experience working with DNO is desirable
