The Catering Department at the Poole Hospital are seeking a highly motivated member of staff to work within the department specifically in the Front of House team.

**Purpose of role**:
Reporting to the Dining Room supervisor, the purpose of this role is to ensure the dining room/cafes are operating as to the organisations expectations, where our visitors / staff can enjoy their lunch / supper in a clean and relaxed environment.

As a Dining Room Assistant, you will ensure the service and standards provided meet the requirements, objectives and policies of the trust, undertaking all specified duties in compliance with Food Safety and Health and Safety Legislation.

**Location**: Poole Hospital mainly but covering UHD

**Key responsibilities**:

- Ensure agreed standards of service are maintained in all areas and the visitors / staff members are treated in a professional and courteous manner at all times
- Ensure all areas where food and beverages are served are kept clean and tidy.
- Clean tables during and after each meal service.
- Clearing of tables as appropriate to the particular meal, within the standards established.
- Ensure the dining room is set up and ready for the residents to use at times laid down by the home.
- Working behind the till's and servery as required.
- Report any faults of equipment to your supervisor.
- To assist and perform kitchen duties when requested, within the scope of your experience, training and ability.

- Ability to maintain a safe, calm and happy approach
- Maintain the highest standard in your personal conduct, presentation and hygiene
