**Restaurant Assistant - **Full Time, 37.5 hours - Weekdays and Weekends, (Ever Friday and Saturday off)

**The Role**

This role is based in our Elm Tree Restaurant and Pondside Cafe and reports to the Restaurant Manager. As a Restaurant Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience through providing a friendly and approachable service, offering appropriate product knowledge and upselling to meet sales targets.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Answer menu related questions and take customer orders when required
- Communicate to the kitchen team any specific dietary needs
- Process customer payments at the till point
- Prepare drinks including teas, coffees and soft drinks
- Plate cake/pastries/sandwiches as required and run food from the kitchen when meals are prepared
- Ensure tables are cleared efficiently and cleaned thoroughly

**Experience Required**
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Great communication skills with the ability to work well with a team
- Experience working in hospitality or retail
