**Salary: Grade 3 (£23,194 - £29,439) pro rata**

**Permanent, Full Time (32.5 hrs a week), term time only**

**Location: Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School**

**Start Date: September 2023**

**The Board of Directors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and innovative learning mentor to support the leadership team with the social, emotional and wellbeing of our more vulnerable children by helping to remove barriers to learning.**

**The main duties will include**:

- Supporting individuals and groups of children to ensure their academic, social and emotional needs are met.
- To engage with families and carers in order to bring out the best in the children.
- To monitor the attendance and punctuality.
- Maintain records for individual children and groups that are supported.
- Attend meetings and report back to leaders.
- Support children in unstructured times of the day.
- Deliver interventions for SEND pupils and update one page profiles and assessments where required.
- Support children with social, emotional and mental health needs.

**We are looking for someone who**:

- Is a committed practising Catholic or has respect for the values of the Catholic faith and will act as a role model to others.
- Passionate abourt children’s learning, development and emotional growth.
- Embraces opportunities to work closely with others in the community and has the ability to work as a team member.
- Has good communication, numeracy and literacy skills.
- Confident with IT.
- Has energy, resilence and a good sense of humour.
- Has experience working with children or young people and families.
