An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the Community Occupational Therapy Team in Oldham.

We are an established team jointly funded by Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council and Oldham CCG.

The team works with both adults and children experiencing difficulties managing everyday activities due to disability/illness within their home environment.

With guidance and instruction from senior occupational therapists you will actively liaise with service users and other services in the community, primary and secondary care to assist the triage and processing of referrals.

With appropriate supervision you will also be responsible for processing requests for minor adaptations and equipment as part of the duty process.

The post holder will be responsible to provide a single access for Community Occupational Therapy, processing triaged and prioritised referrals to the service and signposting as required, as part of referral/waiting list management within the service.

The post holder will be responsible for reviewing equipment and adaptations as part of the Community Occupational Therapy Team review service.

The post holder will work under guidance and support working under the guidance and support of a Registered Occupational Therapist.

The Community Occupational Therapy team is based at the Link Centre and part of the Integrated Therapy Hub, which comprises of Community Neuro Rehab, Falls, Stroke, Dietetics, Speech and Language Therapy, Macmillan AHP’s, Community Physio.
