**Pay Rates**:£12.45 per hour

**Shift Patterns**:Monday
- Friday Early 7:30am-3:30pm Late 12pm-8pm (30 hours per week)

**Is business administration repetitive or boring?**

It’s neither, this couldn’t be further from the truth, the NHS must be well organised and keep detailed records of patients and staff across several wards. You’ll support the ability for patients or other organisations to see or speak to the right person at the right time who can give them the help they need. This could be booking an appointment, getting medical advice, or helping a patient navigate the trust when they visit.

So overall administration isn’t boring, it’s varied.

**You'll find solutions to everyday problems, such as**:

- Reception of patients and visitors to the hospital, directing same to wards and departments.
- Responding to general and patient enquiries from staff and general public and providing authorised information as required.
- Extensive knowledge of the organisation, senior management and staff structure. Assist in evaluating duties and proposing service improvements to enhance the information service.
- Accessing in-patient records by the P.A.S. system and providing relevant information as required to authorised enquirers.
- Responsibility for the issuing and booking in and out of all keys taken by staff.
- Custody and recording of on-call and locum doctors accommodation key and ensuring that identity is checked.

**What you’ll need**:

- Excellent communication skills
- both verbal and written
- Good communicator wo can follow instructions
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Previous NHS experience
- Previous administrative experience
- NHS System Knowledge
- PAS (desirable)
- This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience._
