RPS are seeking **Logging Technicians (Acoustic Logging)** to join our Water Operations division, working on our South East Water contract. The Acoustic Logging Technician is responsible for the daily deployment of acoustic logging equipment on our client’s water distribution network to assist in leakage detection activities. This is a permanent, full time contract (40 hrs pw) paying the real living wage, plus overtime and extensive benefits.

You will assist with the collection of data for leakage reporting and expand our current portfolio of acoustic loggers. An example of projects you may be involved in, include being responsible for fitting and collecting data loggers as well as upgrading where required. Other duties involve analysis of leakage DMA and control zones, identifying assets suitable for logger deployment, as such, having the ability to study mapping and understand distribution network will be key. A good geographical knowledge of the Basingstoke and surrounding region will be highly advantageous as efficient route planning is a must. Once areas have had successful deployment, follow up maintenance will be required ensuring maximum network availability.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Daily deployment of acoustic logging equipment throughout our client’s water distribution network
- Reading plans and schematics regarding the location of client water assets
- Continuously improve your development and knowledge while delivering great customer service for our clients
- Adequate and accurate completion of all paperwork (including time sheets, survey forms, logging details, etc)
- Adherence to company policy and practices at all times, especially relating to Health and Safety

**Who we’re looking for**
- Proven experience and in-depth knowledge of technology loggers and associated software.
- Health & Safety focussed with a responsible attitude
- Enjoys working outdoors
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Personal drive and commitment to succeed, achieving daily targets
- The ability to work alone and enjoys doing a great job
- The ability to read plans and schematics
- Full UK driving licence
