Work closely with Clinicians, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, and Nursing team. Once you have competencies completed and signed off in each area, you will be delivering: New Patient Health Checks Hypertension Monitoring - BP 24 Hour BP ECG Recording Chaperoning Phlebotomy B12 Seasonal Vaccines Dressings - Removal of Sutures and Clips Processing and Managing Laboratory Samples, as Requested by GPs/Nurses Vaccine / Cold Chain Storing, Monitoring, and Recording Surgical Equipment and Vaccine Re-Stocking and Stock Rotation Clearing and Re-Stocking Consulting Rooms Preparing and maintaining environment and equipment before, during, and after patient care interventions including assisting GPs during the performance of minor operations Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patient's health and wellbeing, including weight management Raising health awareness of health and wellbeing and how it can be promoted General This post is one of continual development. Your Senior Nurse will work with you through core competencies. You will be expected to complete statutory and mandatory training as well attending clinical courses as required for the post.

Occupational Health Occupational health services are provided through a SLA with H&SH and University of North Tees. Patient Safety Patient safety is integral to the work at Alma Medical Centre. As part of our commitment to patient safety all staff are expected to engage in the reporting of adverse incidents and 'near misses', and can expect the organisation to demonstrate a culture of openness and trust is paramount. Through this every member of the organisation can continue to learn and improve the quality of care provided.
Safeguarding and Promoting the Welfare of Children and Adults Alma Medical Centre is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults. Dr Stephenson is the safeguarding lead. Staff are required to complete mandatory training on safeguarding children and adults. Clinical Governance Alma Medical Centre aims to provide the highest standards of care.
You will be expected to work to practice policies and guidelines, and by your professional body where appropriate. You have a personal responsibility and accountability to your team and to keep yourself up to date. Infection Control The prevention and control of infection is a core issue across the NHS's clinical governance, managing risk and patient safety programmes. All employees are expected to: Follow consistently high standards of infection control practice, especially with reference to hand hygiene and aseptic techniques Be aware of all company infection control guidelines and procedures Attend mandatory prevention and control of infection training Confidentiality During the course of your employment you will see, hear and have access to information on matters of a confidential nature relating to the company or to the health and personal affairs of patients and staff.
Under no circumstances should such information be divulged or passed on to any unauthorised person(s) or organisations. Staff will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement. Data and Protection Information should be obtained, processed, and/or held on a computer in a fair and lawful way and data should only be held for the specified registered purpose. Data should only be disclosed to authorised persons or organisations.
