Funeral Operative

We are looking for the right person who would like to join our independently family-run Funeral Directors based in Stanford-le-Hope, Thurrock, Essex.

As a funeral operative you will be expected to take responsibility for the deceased once they are in our care, right the way through until the funeral has been carried out.

Duties will include:
collection of the deceased from hospitals/care homes/private addresses
- preparation of the deceased and coffin
- maintaining the fleet of vehicles
- driving / bearing at funeral services
- Skills and experience required:
previous experience in the trade would be preferred but not essential

excellent communication and listening skills

Clean and smart appearance

ability to work as a team

you will be lifting and carrying so therefore you will need to be physically fit and able to do this

full clean driving licence is required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £24,000.00 per year

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
