We manufacture a range of products within the snacking and chocolate categories and have various manufacturing sites and offices across the UK and Ireland. **Responsibilities**:
- Work with site leaders to develop and implement Factory Training Programs/ Competency frameworks that develop skills and validate competence.
- Support the HR Director with other L&D initiatives across the business including sharing best practice and implementation
- Work with the HR Director to establish and deliver our L&D strategy for the business.
- Establish regular communications throughout the business to showcase the L&D function and support our people and managers to strive to be perform at their best.
- Build stakeholder relationships to understand business, site and functional learning needs and establish plans to support them to meet these needs.
- Create a culture of learning that encourages our people to meet their full potential and be equipped with the skills they need to perform their role.
- Coach and mentor individuals and managers in L&D topics from job specific skills to power skills.
- Support the successful completion and delivery of the annual Performance Development Review process including coaching support for high performing individuals and underperforming individuals.
- Provide pro-active support to managers to help them identify talent within their teams through talent mapping and succession planning.
- Coordinate the mentoring scheme to develop and support our people including training individuals in how to be a mentor and offering support for them to be the best mentor they can.
- Work with managers to explore the development and upkeep of a ‘Talent Academy’ and its implementation and delivery.
- Work with the Talent Acquisition Manager to support the apprenticeship program across the group to include upskilling of current employees and on boarding of future talent ensuring we are utilising the levy and providing opportunities for our employees to develop key skills.
- Support the Talent Acquisition Manager with the graduate and undergraduate intake across the market unit to deliver a program that meets the needs of the business and provides an excellent experience for the grad/undergrad throughout the program.
- Work with stakeholders to understand their functional learning needs are met and design and deliver programs/workshops/1:1s to meet their teams needs such as leadership, effective communication, conflict resolution, time management etc.
- Manage and lead the onsite trainers to ensure they are competent and delivering the needs of the site for compliance training. Support them to understand their sites needs ensuring they are meeting compliance standards through SOP training and other requirements such as food safety, allergen training, first aid training etc. Along with supporting their sites factory development needs.
- Develop a plan to update factory SOP training to include competency assessments to validate learning and a suite of eLearn SOPs.
- Support the Market Units EDI strategy through learning and development techniques.
- Design, create, roll out and maintain a suite of eLearning as appropriate to enable learning to take place across the market unit (GDPR, Anti Bribery, EDI etc.)
- Carryout regular CPD and attend networking events to ensure knowledge is current and up to date and used to enhance the businesses approach to L&D.
- Establish new L&D initiatives within the market unit through creative techniques.
- Establish and deliver an in house strategic leadership program for key deputies and senior managers in the market unit.
- Work with the Talent Acquisition Manager and HR teams by actively sharing best practice and implementing ways to enhance talent acquisition, people engagement and talent development across the Market Unit.
- Accountable for the Learning Management System (LMS) including the contract terms, ensuring accurate usage to maintain records and supporting auditing requirements ensuring it is used to its full potential to deliver value to the business.
- Act as the Performance Development Review champion by using the data in the system to drive learning and establish talent mapping and succession planning with functional leads.
- Manage with content the L&D SharePoint Hub and ensure its effectiveness as a tool to sign post employees for development needs.
