Pebbles Care have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Referrals Co-Ordinator to join our professional and dedicated placements team operating within the children’s residential care sector.

**The Role**

The role is home-based with occasional requirement to travel within Northern England and Southern Scotland.

Referrals Co-Ordinators are the main point of contact for external local authority clients making referrals of vulnerable children and young people into Pebbles Care. You will manage all information in relation to the referral and admission process.

Ideally you will have gained experience from a similar role within the care or education sector and have excellent relationship building and communication skills.

**Your Key Responsibilities include**
- Co-ordinating all aspects of referrals for the group regarding: enquiries, referral co-ordination and placements.
- Promoting and nurturing positive relationships between internal and external stakeholders.
- Working with the Commercial Director to manage all data arising from the admissions and referrals process: recording and tracking data, analysing data, identifying, and reporting on trends, strategic opportunities, and risks.
- Reviewing details supplied by Registered Managers and local authorities regarding the level of care provision required.
- Collating information regarding young people’s backgrounds and referral needs and following processes.
- Processing large amounts of information accurately and efficiently.
- Reporting regularly on the progress of referrals and placements.
- Recording accurate data in the placement team’s data management software system to monitor and track referrals as well as relationships across local authority accounts.

**Essential Qualities that we require**
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar or related role
- Experience in the care and/or education sector
- High level computer literacy with experience in the use and management of databases and reporting.
- A clear understanding of the issues regarding placements into homes/schools and the relevance of those in a commercial and competitive environment.
- Knowledge and appreciation of the challenges in managing vulnerable children and young people
- Understanding of the children’s social care system
- The ability to plan, be discreet, confidential, and professional in all aspects of work. - Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- A self-starter with a flexible and pragmatic attitude with high levels of initiative in identifying and resolving issues.
- Strong and effective communication skills at all levels with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Flexible and willing to work outside of normal hours if required occasionally.
- Able to be confident, enthusiastic, and positive in challenging situations.

**Desirable qualities include**
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Current PVG / Enhanced Disclosure certificate (Scotland) or DBS Certificate (England)

**Remuneration and benefits**

Your salary will be £26,250 per annum, pro rata depending upon experience plus bonus.

Your annual leave entitlement is 28 days per annum, pro rata.

You will receive a company pension, health care cash back plan and life assurance.

Our standard hours of work are 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday.

You will receive a full induction and training as well as company laptop and phone.

**Additional Information**

If you are successful, you will be required to gain a PVG certificate through Disclosure Scotland or DBS certificate (England). Pebbles Care will cover the cost of carrying out this check.
