**The Role**

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and practical School Cook to join our well-established and successful team. The successful applicant will ideally have previous catering experience, be flexible, proactive and have a sound knowledge of Food Hygiene, Health and Safety and safe working practices.

**This post is 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus non-pupil days).**

**Some of your key responsibilities will include**:

- Preparation, cooking and service of food and beverages to the standard required.
- To organise the receipt of food and drink from the main kitchen.
- Assist in the planning of menus and follow_ _menu plans agreed with the Catering Manager.
- To manage stock control of all food and drink.
- To ensure that food production is sufficient for the service and also manage wastage within the operation.
- Introduction and promotion of new food products.
- To occasionally assist with special functions which may be outside of normal working hours.
