Are you experienced in Finance Officer? Are you available immediately for work?

We are recruiting a Finance Officer for our client based near Wareham on a temporary basis for two months with an immediate start.

Main responsibilities include:

- Responsible for the day-to-day management of the purchase ledger, including, but not exclusively, processing of the card statement, staff expenses, preparing payment runs, bank reconciliations.
- Maintain the Purchase order process.
- Ensure all invoices are approved in-line with authorisation levels.
- Prepare and maintain spreadsheets and working papers for the monitoring of expenditure levels.
- Responsible for preparing and issuing contracts to our contractors.
- Ensure effective communication is maintained with all relevant parties, ensuring an excellent level of customer service.
- Assist with year-end audit work including the preparation of schedules.
- Working closely with the other Finance Officer to ensure all relevant finance tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Be part of the team implementing a new Finance system and supporting processes.
- Provide support and cover for other team members as required.

Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and Outlook along with experience of accounting software packages is essential. AAT qualification is desirable.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

The hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

The pay rate is £13.50ph - £15.50ph depending on experience
