An exciting opportunity for a QC Officer to join an exciting project. You will be based on site at Whitby, working Monday to Friday. You will earn a competitive salary and be entitled to gym membership, BUPA healthcare, 33 holidays, and bonus scheme.

As QC Officer, your responsibilities will include:

- Daily monitoring and finishing requirements of all outbound products and materials.
- Use of calibrated measuring equipment to various testing standards
- Performing inspection and testing activities of incoming materials and finished products in accordance with company procedures to determine that they meet a certain standard
- Collate and build handover document files and quality reports as per client requirements
- Perform inspections of precision components and assemblies to customer drawings and specifications using tools such as callipers, and gauges -visual inspection of products before and after operations are completed and detect any non-conformances or non-compliant parts
- Effectively communicate quality issues to the QC Superintendent for immediate correction to ensure that all products meet customer specifications
- Adhere to all quality and regulatory compliance procedures
- Conduct external supplier audits
- Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and requirements by preparing mechanical/electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or technical maps

To be successful in this QC Officer role, you will have the following skills and experience:

- 3 years experience within a quality/inspection background
- Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent
- Quality Control Qualification (ISO9001 Lead Auditor)
- Mining/Tunnelling/Rail background would be an advantage
- Computer Literate (Microsoft Office)
- Effective Communication Skills
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
- Capable of producing high quality written material both on a computer and by hand.
- Data analytics skills and experience
- Flexible thinking, including the ability to pivot and try new approaches when faced with challenges
- Awareness of Health and Safety on a construction site
- The ability to follow instructions and comply with policies and procedures is essential

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
