**Hybrid working - 3 days from home, 2 in the London Office**

The Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant is responsible for supporting the European Finance team with day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping. The role is based in London working with the UK and European businesses.

**Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant’s Core Duties**
- Bookkeeping for UK, Netherlands and Swedish operations
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Processing and reviewing purchase and sales invoices
- Management accounting - preparation of weekly reports and monthly accounts
- Credit control
- Purchase & Sales ledger management including arranging payments
- Month end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations
- Managing staff expense claims
- Month end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations
- Reconciliation of expenses, bank accounts and credit card statements
- General support and assistance to the team

**Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant’s Skills Required**
- At least a grade B or above in GCSE English and Math’s
- Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within an accounting field within general practice
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Online
- Good experience with preparing UK VAT returns
- Experience with International Bookkeeping (desirable)
- Highly proactive and organised - scheduling and keeping deadlines
- Strong communication and people skills - a positive and approachable attitude
- Excellent attention to detail
- AAT level 3 or above, would be desirable
