Sox Specialist

The job will be 100% remote working.
We're looking for an adaptable and highly motivated individual to help us strengthen the control environment of the company by implementing a robust Sox and ICOFR framework.

This is a fully hands on role requiring an individual to understand the processes, document the processes, discuss the risks and potential weakness in processes and design the controls to mitigate the risks.

The roles requires;
- Prepare the scoping and risk assessment using the COSO methodology
- Preparing SOX documentation, including risk and controls matrices and process flowcharts, and evaluate controls as new systems are developed or processes change
- Ensure that controls are properly designed for all in scope processes
- Perform SOX testing including design & operating effectiveness testing, remediation test work, and roll forward testing
- Advise on best practice automation of business controls
- Provide technical guidance and advice to control owners for remediation of internal control gaps
- Provide internal controls training to control owners
- Mentor and develop talent of the Finance and Controlling Team
- Big 4 experience from internal audit background with a strong focus on SOX and internal controls with ACA, CPA, or equivalent certification
- Solid understanding of SOX and internal control concepts (e.g., COSO, COBIT)
- Strong written and inter-personal skills
- Multi-client, commerce experience
- Proven ability to lead audits and manage audit teams
- Advanced Excel and Visio skills
- International experience
- US SOX Implementation experience - an understanding of an entire SOX cycle and be able to implement the required elements of it
- have a high level understanding of ITGCs and their relevance to SOX would be beneficial
