Here at Ronford-Baker Engineering we are looking for a Toolroom Engineer to join our team based in Kings Langley near Watford. You will receive a salary of £34,000 per annum (depending on experience) with overtime plus private health insurance and an annualcompany bonus. The working hours are Monday to Thursday 07.30am - 4.00pm and 7.30am - 3.00pm on a Friday plus occasional overtime.
We are a well-established and high-quality manufacturer of tripods and fluid heads for television and film cameras. We have a global reputation built over the last 50 years for some old-fashioned (and increasingly rare) manufacturing qualities, such as extremelyhigh product quality, longevity, and robustness. Ronford-Baker Engineering products are recognised as the highest quality platforms available for both studio and location shooting. We were formed in 1966 as a collaboration between Ron Ford, who ran a camerarental business and Harry Baker, a talented engineer. Great pride is taken in the quality of manufacturing: no subcontract work is done, and products are not made for anyone else. Many products are still in daily use in studios worldwide after 50 years.
**As theToolroom Engineer at Ronford Baker, your responsibilities will include**:
- Assemble equipment to a very high standard.
- Using a range of toolroom machines including manual lathes & milling machines.
- Understanding & translating drawings.
**The successfulToolroom Engineerwill have the following skills and experience**:
- A strong understanding of mechanical engineering principals and have hands on experience of a similar role.
- Experience of mechanical fault-finding down to component level.
- Be a hands-on individual with a passion for quality manufacturing.
- A high level of attention to detail and a passion for getting it right.
- Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Be persistent, determined, trustworthy and able to work using your own initiative.
