Primary purpose and function of position:
To provide Technical Support to the site in the area of quality, food/feed safety and legality compliance and act as a main point of contact for Micro, audit program, quality investment projects and assisting the introduction of new brewing materials.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

- Comply to EHS, Food/Feed Integrity and GMP (including HACCP) standards
- Participate at Zone Brewery Support Audits and review in order to implement an appropriate action plan
- Co-ordinate all quality improvement projects
- Co-ordinate and monitor VPO audit requirements
- Analyses microbiology results, sets up, co-ordinates, follow up appropriate actions. Finalise reporting
- Set up, co-ordinate, data capture and KPI reporting system
- Act as SPOC for Brewing Quality, Food/Feed safety and Micro
- Co-ordinates third party audits by external bodies for FEMAS & BRC. Needs to ensure that appropriate action plans are in place
- Lead Quality Improvement initiatives and PDCAs
- Take a lead role in site HACCP team
- Executes tasks as dictated by the role’s checklist
- Attend meetings as required by the schedule of meetings
- KPI accountability as per MCRS document

Development of a strong and cohesive team
- Walk the floor - lead by example, positively challenge under-performance, reinforce good behaviours
- Constantly drives to ensure responsibility and accountability are driven and enforced at lowest level within the day to day operations of team
- Celebrate successes - work collaboratively to develop appropriate recognition policies for the site
- Actively seek feedback and monitor progress against plans

- Motivates team to achieve departmental KPI’s and deliver high standards of performance
- To support the Quality FLM in the management of the quality team.

Control of cost, budget and resources
- Ensures cost optimisation across all areas of the department
- Ensure all projects are managed on time and to budget
- Assist with capital projects as required
- Shares accountability in the maintenance and utility cost performance across the department
- Improves energy / utilities consumption performance
- Ensures all activities are in adherence to SLA and local governance

Quality, Food/Feed Safety, Environment, Health and Safety and compliance to standards
- Promote safe working practices and complies to ES, quality and HACCP standards
- Ensure compliance with all company and departmental standards and processes and legal obligations
- Takes ownership for creation of SOP’s
- Ensure continuous improvement to consumption of energy and utilities within department
- Ensure appropriate SLA’s are met in regards to maintaining quality standards and specifications
- Takes ownership for adherence to processes within area e.g. SLA’s and health and safety performance
