The finance planning team are responsible for preparing the Management reporting, business partnering, budgeting and forecasting for GWR

**About the job?**

To provide a complete Finance Business Partnering service to the operations directorate influencing day to day decision making to enable the Company to meet its objectives including financial goals and commitments.

**Your main responsibilities will be**:

- Being able to support the business is priority in this role
- Ability to write meaningful commentary to appropriate levels of the business
- Providing insightful analysis to support decision making and identifying areas for challenge and improvement - drawing from different data sources, and using the appropriate tools to manipulate, analyse and interpret data in user friendly ways
- The high-quality production of the annual budget and regular forecasts including detailed assumptions and quality commentaries against previous years, forecasts and budget

- Experience of working within a corporate environment
- Experience of influencing non finance colleagues within an organisation
- Experience of managing workload and prioritising tasks
- Strong system skills, including excel, word and ideally SAP S4

**What do I need?**

CIMA, ACCA, ACA qualified accountant with at least 2 years post qualification experience.

**About the location?**

The role is based in Milford House Swindon with some flexibility to work from home depending on business requirements. The team are expected to either be in a GWR office or on the network a minimum of 3 days per week.

**Working pattern?**

Monday to Friday office hours, flexibility dependent on business requirements
