Our established and growing Training client based in Bridgend, is seeking an experienced Engineer who would like a change of career and use their skills to assess apprenticeship students whilst doing engineering qualifications.
In this customer facing role, you will focus on supporting Electrical and Multi-skilled Engineering apprentices employed across South Wales.

You will ensure that both the apprentices and their employers receive a high level of support, ensuring the apprentices gain the best experience and training as possible. The role will involve travel to multiple employer locations and also to a range oflocal college partners who deliver aspects of the apprenticeship programme.

As the face of the business, the standard of customer service and contact you provide will be second to none, and successful relationship building is essential to the success of this role.

**Key Duties**:

- Visit employers in line with schedules to deliver learning, undertake assessment and complete reviews with apprentices.
- Monitor and support apprentices in line with their Learning Plan and qualifications.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of learning and progress at all times.
- Provide excellent standards of advice, guidance and support to employers and apprentices
- Be vigilant for the welfare and safety of all learners at all times.
- Ensure timely completion of all qualifications and courses.
- Be proactive in the communication and resolution of issues that affect the timely achievement of learners.
- Maximise opportunities to engage and feed back to employers or placement providers on the progress of their learners.

**You will ensure**:

- Timely achievement of qualifications
- Qualification achievement rates
- Timely documentation completion and submission
- Quality of documentation completion
- Standard of assessment (and verification where appropriate)
- Apprentice experience
- Employer experience

**The Person**:
This role is open to both experienced assessors/IQA's and also suitable experienced engineers/technicians who wish to train as an NVQ Assessor.

The ideal applicant will:

- Be an experienced and qualified electrical engineer/technician.
- Have experience of electrical maintenance and/or installation with an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Have strong communication skills and be confident in dealing with a wide range of contacts.
- Have good IT skills.
