East Durham College are excited to offer a new job opportunity. The job opportunity is for a food service assistant working within the onsite Starbucks for 31 hours a week. This will be at our Houghall Campus in Durham on a term time basis, fixed term basis until 21/05/2025.

The main responsibility of this role would be to serve internal and external customers in the Starbucks store within Houghall College.

**The duties of this role are as follows**:

- To safeguard and promote the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
- Health & Safety and hygiene practices.
- Self presentation.
- Excellent customer care.
- Preparation of hot & cold from a Barista coffee machine.
- Preparation of sandwiches, paninis, cakes and scones,
- Rotation of stock control.
- Internal & external confectionary, food, drink & non food purchases.
- Maintaining the Cleanliness & tidiness of the shop (Daily),
- Sales promotions.
- Responsible for profitability margins.
- Maintaining presentation of the shop.
- Money handling.
